Privacy policy
Draft: this page will be reviewed before CadStage launches.
This policy explains what [legal entity] ("we") collects when you use CadStage and why.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address, language, sign-in methods (a password hash, passkeys, Google sign-in), and your sessions (device and browser, approximate place, last activity).
- Your workspace: its name, members and roles, projects, STEP files, guides, texts and images.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep the plan, the number of seats and Stripe's ids, never your card.
- Readers of a guide: daily counts per release (views, steps reached, finishes). No cookie, IP address or user agent is stored for them. A reader who reports a guide may leave an email to be answered.
- The site: with your consent, Google Analytics on CadStage's own pages, never on guides.
Why
To run the service you asked for, to bill it, to keep it secure, and to answer you. We don't sell your data or use your files to train models.
Where and how long
Data is stored in Microsoft Azure, in Canada. Account data stays while your account exists; files of a deleted workspace are removed within 30 days; billing records are kept as long as the law requires.
Who else sees it
Our processors: Microsoft Azure (hosting), Stripe (payments), our email provider, and Google (sign-in, and analytics with consent). Readers see only the guides you publish.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data in your account, export a workspace, and delete your account. For anything else, or to complain, write to [contact email].
